Abstract

One thing we can be certain of in the business world is that every institution wants to have a business that can endure and even develop, enabling them to compete in the existing market. In pursuit of this desire, every institution employs various strategies, one of which is developing human resources within the company. This, in turn, enhances their ability to work and perform well, ultimately driving the company to achieve its goals and targets. At PT. PLN Persero, research in the field has identified several factors that contribute to a lack of worker performance, namely motivation, work environment, and employee performance. A descriptive quantitative study was conducted to determine the relationship between these variables. The results of the partial (t-test) indicate that motivation at work has a positive impact on employee performance at PT. PLN (Persero) Medan. Additionally, the test also shows that communication has a positive impact on employee performance at PT. PLN (Persero) Medan, as does the work environment. Therefore, it can be concluded that these factors significantly influence employee performance at PT. PLN (Persero) Medan.
